Q: What are the staff to child ratios at Promise Care?

A: Promise Care Child Development Center maintains the following staff to child ratios as required by the Commonwealth of Virginia:
  • Birth to 24 months, 1:4 ratio
  • 2 to 6 years old, 1:10 ratio
  • 6 years of age and older, 1:25 ratio

Q: Are all staff trained in CPR and First Aid?

A: Yes, Promise Care requires all staff to be certified in both CPR and First Aid. Additionally, several center staff are certified with medication administration training so you can be confident that your child will receive the best care possible while at the Center.

Q: Are background checks performed on all staff?

A: Yes, Promise Care complies with Commonwealth of Virginia regulations which specify that background checks must be performed for all employees as well as volunteers who spend time alone with one or more children.

Q: Are meals served at the Center?

A: Yes, children are served a morning and afternoon snack as well as lunch. Menus are posted on the Promise Care website as well as in the Center.

Q: Is there a discount for multiple child families enrolled at Promise Care?

A: Yes, multiple child families receive a reduced rate for the annual registration fee. Instead of $50 per child, the annual registration fee is $80 per family. Additionally, there is a 10% discount for the oldest child's tuition.

Q: From which schools does Promise Care provide transportation for the after school program?

A: Promise Care provides transportation from the following schools:
